The wasps is a famous and amazing play, from the ancient author Aristophanes. He was a very brave
man, because, even though it was very dangerous to criticize the government, he did it, actually in a very clever way.
Philocleon is an old man, but still, the judge at the ancient Greece. A lot of men, take advantage of him, or give him money, for them to have benefits and the resolutions they want.
Bdelycleon realizes this, and forbids his father of going to court again, but his father insists. Then Bdelycleon has a clever idea, he says to his father to judge a case in his own home; a dog stilled a cheese.
All this situation, is a representation of the corruption at the time. How the government and the political area were ruin. That is why this play was so controversial, in fact only Aristophanes wanted to represent it.
In my opinion, a great and funny play, with a lot of deep meanings, that can still apply to our government and laws, in such a similar way, that it seems the play was written yesterday.
